BlueCross BlueShield Association - National Labor Office   The Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association is a national federation of 37 independent, community-based and locally operated Blue Cross® and Blue Shield® companies.  The Association owns and manages the Blue Cross and Blue Shield trademarks and names in more than 170 countries and territories around the world.  The Association grants licenses to independent companies to use the trademarks and names in exclusive geographic areas.

Economic Policy Institute  The Economic Policy Institute (EPI) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan think tank created in 1986 to  include the needs of low- and middle-income workers in economic policy discussions. EPI believes every working person deserves a good job with fair pay, affordable health care, and retirement security.  To achieve this goal, EPI conducts research and analysis on the economic status of working America.  EPI proposes public policies that protect and improve the economic conditions of low- and middle-income workers and assesses policies with respect to how they affect those workers.

Federal Labor Relations Authority  The FLRA is an independent administrative federal agency created by Title VII of the Civil Service Reform Act of 1978 (also known as the Federal Service Labor-Management Relations Statute) (the Statute).  Pub. L. 95-454, 5 U.S.C. §7101 et seq.  The Statute allows certain non-postal federal employees to organize, bargain collectively, and participate through labor organizations of their choice in decisions affecting their working lives.  The Postal Reorganization Act (Pub. L. 91-375, Aug. 12, 1970) governs labor-management relations in the Postal Service.

Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service  The Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, created in 1947, is an independent agency whose mission is to preserve and promote labor-management peace and cooperation. Headquartered in Washington, DC, with two regional offices and more than 70 field offices, the agency provides mediation and conflict resolution services to industry, government agencies and communities.

Georgetown University's Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor  Georgetown University’s Kalmanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor develops creative strategies and innovative public policy to improve workers’ lives in a changing economy. The Initiative draws on Georgetown’s distinctive identity – its commitment to intellectual excellence, grounding in the Catholic and Jesuit traditions, history of inter-religious cooperation, global reach, and prominence as an arena of policy debate in the nation’s capital – to advance prosperity, broadly-shared economic justice, and respect for the dignity of labor.

Ironworkers/IMPACT  IMPACT is a labor management partnership designed to provide a forum for union Ironworkers and signatory contractors to address mutual concerns and encourage reasonable balanced solutions. The IMPACT Regional Advisory Boards extend this approach, creating a national labor-management network, which promotes discussion of issues affecting the industry as a whole and enables the creation of effective strategies for resolving concerns to create opportunities for the union ironworking industry. Our primary mission is to expand job opportunities through progressive and innovative labor management cooperative programs.

International Brotherhood of Teamsters  Founded in 1903, the Teamsters mission is to organize and educate workers towards a higher standard of living. There are currently 1.4 million members under 21 Industrial Divisions that include virtually every occupation imaginable, both professional and non professional, private sector and public sector.

National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems  The National Conference on Public Employee Retirement Systems (NCPERS) is the largest trade association for public sector pension funds, representing more than 550 funds throughout the United States and Canada. It is a unique non-profit network of trustees, administrators, public officials and investment professionals who collectively manage nearly $3 trillion in pension assets held in trust for approximately 21 million public employees and retirees — including firefighters, law enforcement officers, teachers, and other public servants.  Founded in 1941, NCPERS is the principal trade association working to promote and protect pensions by focusing on Advocacy, Research and Education for the benefit of public sector pension stakeholders…It’s who we ARE!
